Late post

This weekend I went out to North Haven Island near Rockland, Maine.
For the first time since I starting writing for Summit Sunday I found myself in the very situation as Gus from last summer "so far away from the mountains he loved."  Gus's summits from Fire Island, however, were some of the most creative and exciting summits posted yet (if you haven't looked at them yet, do so now - I especially like the one on the top of the (yacht club?) in black and white). While I had planned on some dramatically artsy summit, I instead ended up on a lobster boat (though I guess a boat is, by default, a sort of summit).
While I didn't set the trap, pull of the trap, get the lobster out, or even band its claws - observing the whole process was awesome (as was eating him - yes it was a male) Also... yes this is what happens when you try to hold a large lobster in one hand and take a "selfie" with the other.

After we pulled up several traps, Mr Campbell took us further out of the harbor to enjoy this fantastic sunset.

Maine is alright...

So, no pictures of me on top of anything, but I think that a boat technically counts as a summit.
