Welcome to Summit Sunday! This initiative started in 2012 when two friends decided to hike a mountain in Utah on a Sunday afternoon before one of the friends had to leave to live at sea level on an island away from the mountains he loved so dearly. This blog is dedicated to the notion that you can "climb mountains" wherever you are.

Summit Lake, Donner Dip
I went for a little trail run this morning along the Donner Lake Rim Trail up to Summit Lake for #summitsunday. One of my very favorite things, even dating back to my first year at UNR, is coming back from a workout and jumping in Donner Lake to cool off, ice the legs, or become less stinky. I did all three of those things today after the run, so here's the Summit Sunday pic for today.
